Scientific Program

Scientific Program Sessions
Scientific Program sessions highlight important basic and translational research topics across the field of hematology. Sessions will consist of didactic presentations followed by panel discussions and a question-and-answer period with all speakers. View Scientific Program Sessions
Scientific Spotlight Sessions
The Scientific Spotlight sessions are intended for a smaller audience and feature presentations focused on a specialized topic that is not currently being covered in the general ASH Annual Meeting program. View Scientific Spotlight Sessions
Meet the Scientist Sessions

Special Scientific Symposia

Scientific Workshops

ASH Poster Walks
Poster Walks highlight cutting-edge emerging science in hematology during the meeting. A total of seven Poster Walks will be featured during the meeting with some taking place virtually and others taking place in person in collaboration with the Blood Journals Studio. View ASH Poster Walks

Marquee Sessions and Lectures

These signature sessions are designed to be of interest to a broad and diverse audience and include the prestigious Plenary Scientific Session, Best of ASH, and the Presidential Symposium. Many of the Marquee Sessions also honor distinguished leaders in the field through awards and special lectures.

Special Interest Sessions and Studios

Special Interest Sessions
These sessions provide the opportunity for ASH’s various communities to focus on specific topics of interest, ranging from coping with physician stress and burnout, to counseling fellows on careers in hematology, to the impact of ASH’s international outreach programs. View Special Interest Sessions
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Sessions
These sessions explore how differences in identity impact outcomes and how to mitigate those differences to achieve equitable outcomes for all individuals with hematologic diseases and disorders. View DEI Sessions
ASH Wellness Studio
The ASH Wellness Studio features informal micro-learning workshops on topics geared toward helping professionals lead a balanced, productive, and healthy work-life balance through wellness.  View ASH Wellness Studio Activities
Blood Journals Studio
The ASH Blood Journals Studio is the place to learn about the Blood journals portfolio, meet the editors, attend poster walks, and network with peers and experts in your field. View Blood Journals Studio Activities
Health Equity Studio
The ASH Health Equity Studio is comprised of in-person microlearning sessions that provide educational content on various domains in health equity. This includes short presentations by an in-person speaker followed by an interactive discussion co-led by the speaker and an ASH member. View Health Equity Studio Activities

Trainee Activities

ASH provides a variety of high-quality educational, career development, and networking opportunities to help trainees make the most of their meeting experience. These activities and services have been identified as most relevant to the unique interests of undergraduates, medical and graduate students, residents, and fellows and are open only to annual meeting attendees with a blue trainee badge.

Late-Breaking Abstract Sessions
Late-Breaking Abstract Sessions feature timely, novel, and substantive studies of high impact that may not have been available during the abstract submission window. These sessions are highly selective and feature some of the most cutting-edge developments in the field.
