Committee Mandate
The Latin American Training Program (LATP) award provides twelve weeks of training for hematology and hematology related healthcare professionals in Latin America. The LATP Subcommittee, a subcommittee of the International Members Committee (IMC), oversees the program and is responsible for vetting and scoring applications to select finalists for the award each year. The top scoring proposals are forwarded to the IMC for final approval. The subcommittee provides reports on the status of the LATP to the IMC as requested, including recommendations for revisions to the program and/or potential expansions.
The membership of the LATP Subcommittee includes:
· Chair
· 2 liaisons from International Members Committee - term congruent to service on parent committee
· 9 members from different countries in Latin America
The chair and members of the LATP Subcommittee serve three-year renewable terms (unless otherwise indicated) and are required to participate in conference calls and email discussions and to attend the study section during the Highlights of ASH in Latin America.
