Promoting the Latest in Hematology Research

ASH continues to be a leader in promoting hematology research through over 1,600 articles published in its seven peer-reviewed Blood journals and a record number of abstracts presented at the annual meeting.

Expanding the Blood Journals Portfolio

ASH expanded the Blood journals portfolio with the launch of three new journals, Blood Global Hematology, Blood Red Cells & Iron (RCI), and Blood Immunology & Cellular Therapy (ICT). Patrick Gallagher, MD, professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University, serves as the inaugural editor-in-chief of Blood RCI and Willem Fibbe, MD, emeritus professor of hematology at Leiden University Medical Centre in the Netherlands, is the inaugural editor-in-chief of Blood ICT. These peer-reviewed, open access journals publish high-quality, original research in their specialized areas.


Bringing Data and Research to Life

The (ASH RC) strives to improve the lives of people affected by blood disorders through real-world data and collaborative partnerships. The ASH RC announced the launch of the in partnership with the Reagan-Udall Foundation, published some of the first studies validating the data within the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and Multiple Myeloma (MM) Data Hub programs, and presented data at the ASH annual meeting.

Researchers with the MM Research Network on the study, which provides a proof-of-concept model for prospective evidence generation for the myeloma community that encompasses more than 20,000 patient data sets submitted by its 12 U.S.-based academic medical centers.
